Overview

**6-(cyclohexylsulfanyl)-1-(ethoxymethyl)-5-(1-methylethyl)pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione** (also known as TNK‑6123) is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the class of aryl thioethers and structurally related to pyrimidine diones. It is an analog of emivirine with reported improved activity against drug-resistant HIV mutants. The compound has been studied as an experimental antiviral agent targeting HIV but does not have approved indications or established clinical use[9][2][7]. Its mechanism of action is presumed to involve inhibition of HIV reverse transcriptase, similar to other non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), though direct evidence for this specific compound's target profile remains limited in public sources.
