Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-DOTA-MHC-II (also referred to as 64Cu-DOTA-MHCII) is an experimental, preclinical immuno-PET radiotracer designed for noninvasive imaging of tumor-specific major histocompatibility complex class II (tsMHC-II) expression. It is composed of a monoclonal antibody targeting MHC-II conjugated to the chelator DOTA and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope copper-64 (64Cu). Developed by academic researchers at the Houston Methodist Academic Institute and collaborating institutions, the tracer has been evaluated in murine melanoma models (such as B16F10 and B16SIY) to monitor dynamic changes in tsMHC-II expression following interferon-gamma (IFNγ) stimulation or anti-PD-1 immunotherapy. This imaging approach aims to predict response to immune checkpoint inhibitors and distinguish immune-responder tumors from nonresponders.
