Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-DOTA-PEG24-Fab is a CD46-targeted radiopharmaceutical imaging agent developed by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for the same-day immunoPET imaging of prostate cancer. It consists of a monovalent antigen-binding fragment (Fab) derived from the CD46-targeted monoclonal antibody YS5, conjugated to a DOTA chelator via a PEG24 linker, and radiolabeled with copper-64 (64Cu). CD46 is highly expressed in both PSMA-positive and PSMA-negative prostate cancers, making it a promising alternative target. Compared to full-length IgG-based tracers like 89Zr-DFO-YS5, which require several days to clear and achieve optimal contrast, the smaller Fab fragment clears rapidly from the blood, enabling high-contrast PET imaging just 4 hours post-injection.
