64Cu-DOTA-U3-1287 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody developed for PET imaging. It consists of patritumab (U3-1287, AMG 888), a fully human anti-HER3 monoclonal antibody, conjugated with DOTA and labeled with the radioisotope copper-64. The antibody component binds to and blocks the activation of HER3 (Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 3), while the radioactive copper-64 allows for PET imaging to assess receptor occupancy and tumor uptake. It was initially developed by Washington University School of Medicine for use in patients with advanced solid tumors where HER3 expression is expected.
