Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-EB-ss-CPT is a radionuclide-labeled self-assembly nanomedicine developed for cancer theranostics. It consists of copper-64 (64Cu) labeled Evans blue conjugated camptothecin (EB-CPT) which forms nanoparticles through self-assembly due to its inherent amphiphilicity. The nanoparticles exhibit favorable blood circulation properties and prolonged tumor retention in tumor-bearing mice. The drug leverages the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect to accumulate in tumor tissues, making it useful for PET/CT imaging of colorectal cancer. The EB component acts as an albumin binder to enhance tumor accumulation while maintaining safety and diagnostic efficacy.
