Overview

**64Cu-NCAB001** is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (**EGFR**), developed for the early detection of pancreatic cancer using positron emission tomography (**PET**) imaging. The antibody component, **NCAB001**, has the same amino acid sequence as cetuximab but possesses a different N-glycan profile, and is produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. NCAB001 is conjugated with a chelator and labeled with the positron-emitting isotope copper-64 (^64Cu), creating a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical. When administered intraperitoneally, 64Cu-NCAB001 enables sensitive PET imaging of small pancreatic tumor lesions (≥3 mm), demonstrating comparable binding and imaging characteristics to ^64Cu-cetuximab, but with modified formulation and improved manufacturability. It is currently in **early clinical development for diagnostic use in pancreatic cancer**, with preclinical evidence indicating favorable biodistribution, safety, and stability properties.[1][2][3][4][5]
