Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-NODAGA-PD-L1 is a copper-64 labeled small-molecule radiotracer developed by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in tumors. The tracer consists of a biphenyl-based small-molecule PD-L1 inhibitor core modified with hydrophilic linker units, water-solubilizing sulfonate and/or phosphonate groups, and a NODAGA chelator for stable complexation of copper-64. By non-invasively visualizing the heterogeneous expression of PD-L1 across tumor sites, 64Cu-NODAGA-PD-L1 is designed to serve as a diagnostic tool to identify patients likely to respond to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapies, thereby supporting clinical therapy decisions.
