Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-RTX-4002 is a copper-64 labeled, small-molecule positron emission tomography (PET) imaging radiotracer targeting Granzyme B. Originally developed by Merck & Co. and subsequently licensed to Ratio Therapeutics, the probe utilizes an N3O2 NOTA chelator to form a stable complex with copper-64, offering improved chemical stability and radiochemical purity over its predecessor, 64Cu-RTX-4001. Granzyme B is a serine protease released by activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, serving as a key biomarker for immune activation. 64Cu-RTX-4002 is being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and dosimetry in healthy volunteers, with potential applications in monitoring immune responses in oncology, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases.
