Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-SV2A-P2 is a copper-64-labeled trivalent peptidic radioligand designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A). Developed by researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the tracer is engineered with a UCB-J-based targeting motif, a modified albumin-binding motif, an optimized hydrophilic linker, and a highly hydrophilic C-terminal spacer to enhance solubility, reduce lipophilicity, and minimize non-target hepatic uptake. It is primarily investigated as a diagnostic imaging agent for detecting neuroendocrine differentiation (NED) in solid tumors, such as prostate and lung cancers, with potential for subsequent 64/67Cu-based theranostic applications.
