64Cu-TE2A-9E7.4 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody used for immuno-positron emission tomography (immuno-PET) imaging, specifically targeting CD138 (syndecan-1), a cell surface antigen highly expressed in multiple myeloma cells. The drug consists of the murine anti-CD138 antibody 9E7.4 conjugated to the chelator TE2A and radiolabeled with copper-64 (^64Cu). Its mechanism relies on the antibody's specific binding to CD138 on myeloma cells, enabling sensitive in vivo detection of myeloma lesions. Compared to 18F-FDG and [^64Cu]CuCl2 PET tracers, 64Cu-TE2A-9E7.4 has demonstrated improved tumor uptake, higher tumor-to-background ratios, and superior lesion detection in preclinical murine models of multiple myeloma. Its immunoreactivity remains high following radiolabeling, making it a promising candidate for specific and sensitive PET imaging of multiple myeloma[1][2][3][5][6][7].
