Drug intelligence / Profile preview
64Cu-TTX-MC138 is a radiolabeled diagnostic imaging agent developed by TransCode Therapeutics for the early detection of metastatic cancer using Positron Emission Tomography (PET). It is a derivative of the therapeutic candidate TTX-MC138, which consists of an iron oxide nanoparticle conjugated to antagomirs targeting microRNA-10b (miR-10b), a key driver of metastasis. In the diagnostic version, the nanoparticle is tagged with the radioisotope copper-64 (64Cu) through a NODAGA chelator, enabling highly sensitive and specific quantitative determination of its pharmacokinetics and biodistribution. This allows for the non-invasive observation of delivery to metastatic lesions. A Phase 0 clinical trial has provided evidence of its ability to reach metastatic sites and demonstrate pharmacodynamic activity.
