Drug intelligence / Profile preview
67Cu-NuriPro is a copper-67 labeled radiopharmaceutical designed for the targeted treatment of prostate cancer. It consists of copper-67 chelated to NODAGA and conjugated to PSMA I&T, enabling it to specifically bind to Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), a well-established biomarker highly expressed in prostate cancer cells. As part of Nuclidium's NuriPro theranostic program, this agent is the therapeutic counterpart to the diagnostic imaging agent 61Cu-NuriPro. The mechanism involves delivering beta-emitting radiation directly to PSMA-expressing tumor cells, aiming for precise and effective ablation of malignant tissue while sparing healthy tissue. As of June 2025, 67Cu-NuriPro has completed preclinical development with plans for a phase I clinical trial in patients with prostate cancer[2][3][5][6].
