68Ga-CAIX-targeted polypeptide molecular probe is a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical developed by Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital for the detection of early metastasis in urinary tract tumors, including kidney cancer. The probe consists of a polypeptide ligand that specifically targets Carbonic Anhydrase IX (CAIX), a transmembrane protein that is constitutively overexpressed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and other hypoxic tumors. By labeling this polypeptide with the positron-emitting isotope Gallium-68 (68Ga), the probe enables high-sensitivity PET-CT imaging to visualize CAIX-positive lesions and assess biodistribution and radiation dosimetry in patients.
