68Ga-DFC413 (also known as JFI447) is a Gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical imaging agent developed by Novartis. It is designed to target Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP), which is highly expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor stroma of various solid malignancies. As a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) tracer, 68Ga-DFC413 enables the non-invasive visualization and quantification of FAP expression, which is often associated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor prognosis. The agent is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials (e.g., NCT06141304) to characterize its safety, biodistribution, and pharmacokinetics, and to compare its imaging performance against other FAP-targeting tracers such as 68Ga-NNS309 (FFG233) in patients with solid tumors including pancreatic, lung, breast, and colorectal cancers.
