Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-DO3A-S01-GCG (also known as 68Ga-DO3A-VS-Cys40-Tuna-2 or 68Ga-Tuna-2) is a gallium-68-labeled peptide-based positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer that specifically targets the glucagon receptor (GCGR). Developed through a collaboration between Sanofi, Antaros Medical, and Uppsala University, the tracer is designed to quantify GCGR density and target occupancy in vivo, particularly in the liver. It serves as a biomarker to evaluate target engagement of novel therapeutic candidates, such as dual glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucagon receptor agonists, in patients with type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
