Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-DOTA.SA.FAPi (also known as [68Ga]Ga-DOTA.SA.FAPi) is a gallium-68 labeled, squaric acid (SA)-containing small molecule fibroblast activation protein (FAP) inhibitor. It is designed as a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of various epithelial malignancies and other conditions characterized by active tissue remodeling, such as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and renal fibrosis. The tracer targets fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAP) expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the tumor microenvironment. It was developed through a collaboration involving Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and PositronPharma.
