Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of two radiopharmaceutical PET imaging agents, 68Ga-DOTATATE and 68Ga-FAPI. **68Ga-DOTATATE** is a gallium-68–labeled somatostatin analog that binds with high affinity to somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2), which is overexpressed in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). It enables sensitive and specific PET/CT imaging for the detection, staging, and management of NETs[3][5][6][7]. **68Ga-FAPI** refers to gallium-68–labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor tracers such as FAPI-04 or FAPI-46. These target fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is highly expressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts across many tumor types. This allows visualization of the tumor stroma and can be useful for imaging various cancers, including those not well visualized by traditional tracers[4][10]. The combination of these two agents may be used sequentially or in parallel PET/CT protocols to provide complementary information about both SSTR expression and stromal activity within tumors—potentially improving diagnostic accuracy, guiding therapy selection, or identifying lesions missed by one tracer alone[1][2].
