68Ga-dPNE is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent designed for Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging. It consists of the positron-emitting radionuclide Gallium-68 (68Ga) chelated to a dPNE targeting probe, often via a DOTA chelator. The dPNE probe specifically targets and binds to Cluster of Differentiation 73 (CD73), an enzyme that is frequently overexpressed in various malignant tumors, including breast cancer. By binding to CD73, 68Ga-dPNE allows for the visualization and localization of these tumors through PET/CT imaging, aiding in diagnosis and potentially guiding therapeutic decisions. It is currently under investigation for its diagnostic effectiveness in breast cancer and other malignant tumors.
