Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-EMP-100 (also known as [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-EMP-100) is a novel positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceutical imaging agent designed to target the hepatocyte growth factor receptor (c-MET). It consists of the c-MET-binding cyclic peptide EMP-100 (a 26-amino acid cyclic oligopeptide derived from the optical imaging agent EMI-137) conjugated to a DOTA chelator and radiolabeled with gallium-68 (68Ga). Developed by Edinburgh Molecular Imaging, the tracer binds with high affinity to the extracellular domain of c-MET without competing with endogenous hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) or activating downstream signaling pathways. It is being clinically evaluated for the non-invasive, whole-body assessment of c-MET expression in patients with solid tumors, including metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and hepatocellular carcinoma, to aid in patient selection and response monitoring for c-MET-targeted therapies.
