68Ga-EVG321 is a peptide-based radioligand diagnostic agent designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It targets the cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R), which is highly expressed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and potentially other tumors. The molecule consists of a Gallium-68 radioisotope chelated to a CCK2R-targeting peptide, enabling non-invasive whole-body quantification of tumor CCK2R expression. This allows for improved diagnosis, staging, and patient selection for subsequent radioligand therapy with its therapeutic pair, 177Lu-EVG321. The drug is being developed by Evergreen Theragnostics and originated from the Medical University of Innsbruck[1][3][6]. Its primary indication is as an imaging agent in SCLC to identify patients who may benefit from targeted radioligand therapies[1][5][6].
