Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gallium Ga 68 FAPI‑46 is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent composed of the quinoline-based fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPi)-46, labeled with the radioisotope gallium‑68. It acts as a highly specific positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer targeting fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is overexpressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts and various tumor types. Upon administration, it binds to FAP-expressing cells, enabling their detection via PET/CT imaging. This agent is under investigation for its ability to improve tumor visualization and staging across multiple cancers and has also shown potential utility in inflammatory diseases[2][3][7][10].
