Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-FAPI-GP-02 is a novel gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical developed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of malignant solid tumors. It specifically targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP), an enzyme that is highly overexpressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor stroma of various solid malignancies. Developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University, 68Ga-FAPI-GP-02 is designed to provide high-contrast visualization of tumor lesions, potentially offering improved diagnostic sensitivity and specificity compared to conventional tracers like 18F-FDG. It is currently being evaluated in clinical imaging studies to assess its safety and efficacy in detecting tumor lesions across a range of solid tumor types.
