68Ga-FAPI-XT117 is a novel radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed for positron emission tomography (PET/CT). It consists of the XT117 ligand, which specifically targets **fibroblast activation protein (FAP)**, labeled with the radioisotope **gallium-68 (68Ga)**. FAP is a cell-surface glycoprotein highly expressed by cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor microenvironment of various malignant solid tumors, while showing low expression in normal tissues. Developed by **Sinotau Pharmaceutical Group** in collaboration with the **Chinese PLA General Hospital**, this tracer is being evaluated for its safety and diagnostic efficacy, particularly in patients with sarcomas and gastrointestinal cancers. It aims to provide high-contrast imaging and potentially superior lesion detection compared to conventional 18F-FDG PET/CT, especially in tumors with high stromal content.
