68Ga-FC516 is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic PET imaging tracer developed by FindCure Biosciences (ZhongShan) Co., Ltd. for the detection and staging of prostate cancer. It consists of a targeting ligand, FC516, labeled with the positron-emitting radionuclide Gallium-68 (68Ga). The ligand is designed to bind with high affinity to Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), also known as Glutamate carboxypeptidase 2, which is significantly overexpressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. By utilizing PET/CT or PET/MRI imaging, 68Ga-FC516 enables the sensitive visualization of primary prostate tumors and metastatic lesions, facilitating accurate disease staging and treatment monitoring. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to assess its safety, dosimetry, and diagnostic efficacy compared to other established prostate-targeting tracers.
