68Ga-FXX489, also known as NNS309, is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent developed for Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) imaging. It is a Gallium-68 labeled radiotracer that specifically targets Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP), a type II transmembrane serine protease that is highly expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor stroma of various solid tumors. Because FAP expression is minimal in most healthy adult tissues, 68Ga-FXX489 provides high-contrast imaging of the tumor microenvironment, facilitating the diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of oncological diseases. The agent is currently being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by Yi Tian to assess its safety, biodistribution, and diagnostic performance compared to other FAP-targeting tracers.
