68Ga-G21 is a novel radiopharmaceutical PET tracer designed for the molecular imaging of prostate cancer. It consists of the positron-emitting isotope Gallium-68 ($^{68}$Ga) complexed with G21, a ligand that specifically targets the Gastrin-Releasing Peptide Receptor (GRPR). GRPR is frequently overexpressed in prostate cancer tissues (77%-100%), including those that may have low or negative expression of Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA). Developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, 68Ga-G21 is utilized in PET/CT imaging to assist in the initial staging, detection of biochemical recurrence, and assessment of metastatic lesions in patients with prostate cancer, particularly serving as a complementary tool to PSMA PET.
