Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-NODAGA-MUC1-FA is a novel radiolabeled hybrid peptide conjugate designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of epithelial cancers, particularly breast and ovarian cancers. It consists of a Mucin-1 (MUC1)-derived peptide conjugated to folic acid (FA) via a terminal lysine residue, and chelated with gallium-68 (68Ga) using the bifunctional chelator NODAGA. This hybrid conjugate is designed to dual-target MUC1 and folate receptors, which are highly overexpressed in epithelial malignancies but have low expression in normal tissues. Preclinical evaluations in mouse models have demonstrated rapid blood clearance, predominant urinary excretion, and significant tumor uptake, suggesting its potential as a molecular probe for early detection, staging, and monitoring of treatment response in MUC1- and folate receptor-positive cancers.
