68Ga-NODAGA-SNA009 is a nanobody-based PET imaging tracer developed by Suzhou SmartNuclide Biopharmaceutical for the detection of colorectal cancer. The agent comprises a nanobody (SNA009) that specifically targets Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), also known as CEACAM5, a protein frequently overexpressed on the surface of colorectal cancer cells. This nanobody is conjugated to the chelator NODAGA and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope Gallium-68 (68Ga). Due to the small size of the nanobody (VHH), the tracer exhibits rapid systemic clearance and high tumor penetration, enabling high-contrast PET/CT imaging of CEA-positive lesions shortly after administration. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for safety, biodistribution, and radiation dosimetry in patients with colorectal cancer.
