68Ga-NODAGA-SNA018 is a radiolabeled diagnostic imaging agent designed for positron emission tomography (PET/CT) to detect and characterize breast cancer lesions. The probe consists of the SNA018 nanobody, a single-domain antibody fragment that binds with high affinity and specificity to the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), which is frequently overexpressed in breast cancer. This targeting moiety is conjugated to the chelator NODAGA (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1-glutaric acid-4,7-diacetic acid) and labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope Gallium-68 (68Ga). Due to its small molecular size, the nanobody probe exhibits rapid blood clearance and high tumor penetration, allowing for high-contrast imaging of HER2 expression shortly after administration. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to assess its diagnostic accuracy and biodistribution in patients with breast cancer.
