68Ga-NOTA-G3-NGR2 is a radiopharmaceutical agent designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It consists of a gallium-68 radioisotope chelated by NOTA (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triacetic acid), conjugated to a G3 trimeric peptide containing the asparagine-glycine-arginine (NGR) motif. The NGR sequence targets aminopeptidase N (CD13), which is overexpressed in tumor neovasculature and certain cancer cells. This enables selective imaging of tumors and their metastases by PET scanning. Preclinical studies have shown that 68Ga-NOTA-G3-NGR2 demonstrates favorable tumor uptake and high tumor-to-background ratios in models such as fibrosarcoma and gastric cancer with liver metastasis[3][7]. Its primary use is investigational for the detection and evaluation of malignant lesions.
