The compound enables non-invasive visualization of CXCR4 expression, aiding in the assessment of tumor burden and disease staging, particularly in multiple myeloma and other cancers. 68Ga-pentixather serves as the diagnostic counterpart to therapeutic agents such as 177Lu/90Y-pentixather for theranostic applications. Its mechanism involves binding to CXCR4 on malignant cells, allowing PET imaging to detect areas of high receptor expression[1][7][10].
