**68Ga-PMD22** is a novel radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent consisting of the nanobody PMD22 labeled with gallium-68. It is designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to non-invasively detect and visualize Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) expression in patients with gastrointestinal cancers, particularly gastric and colorectal cancer. The nanobody specifically targets CLDN18.2, a tight junction protein overexpressed in certain gastrointestinal tumors, enabling high-contrast tumor imaging and assessment of CLDN18.2 status for potential patient stratification or therapy guidance[1][2][3][4][5]. Preclinical studies demonstrated high binding affinity to CLDN18.2-positive cells and favorable pharmacokinetics; early clinical trials indicate good safety and effective tumor visualization[1][2]. The drug was developed by Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
