Drug intelligence / Profile preview
68Ga-PSMA-33 is a novel radiopharmaceutical designed as a Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) targeted probe for Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging. It is being investigated for its safety and efficacy in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer. The drug targets PSMA, a protein that is significantly overexpressed (up to 1000 times higher) in 90-95% of prostate cancers, making it an attractive target for diagnostic imaging. 68Ga-PSMA-33 is administered intravenously and has shown good uptake in prostate cancer cell lines and animal studies.
