68Ga-TBM-001 is a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University for the imaging of bone diseases using Positron Emission Tomography (PET). It consists of the positron-emitting isotope Gallium-68 complexed with TBM-001, a bone-seeking ligand that targets hydroxyapatite in the bone matrix. The tracer is designed to accumulate in areas of high bone turnover and remodeling, making it effective for detecting primary bone tumors, malignant bone metastases, fractures, and inflammatory conditions such as osteomyelitis and bone tuberculosis. 68Ga-TBM-001 is typically used as the diagnostic component of a theranostic pair alongside 177Lu-TBM-001, which provides targeted radionuclide therapy to the same bone lesions identified during imaging.
