68Ga-XACP3 is a gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It specifically targets Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (ACP3), also known as Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PAP), an enzyme that is highly expressed in prostate cancer tissue. As a diagnostic agent, 68Ga-XACP3 is intended to detect primary tumor lesions, metastases, and recurrences in patients with prostate cancer. It is being evaluated as an alternative or complement to PSMA-targeted PET imaging (such as 68Ga-PSMA), potentially offering diagnostic utility in cases where PSMA expression is low or absent.
