Overview

**6B11ScFv-mIL-12** is a recombinant fusion protein drug designed for targeted cancer immunotherapy. It consists of a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) derived from the monoclonal antibody 6B11, which specifically binds the CA166-9 cancer antigen expressed on approximately half of human ovarian carcinomas, fused to mouse interleukin-12 (mIL-12), a potent immunostimulatory cytokine[1][3]. The mechanism of action involves targeted delivery of IL-12 to tumors expressing CA166-9, thereby concentrating immunostimulatory effects at the tumor site to promote immune-mediated tumor cell killing and potentially reduce systemic toxicity seen with untargeted IL-12[1]. The drug has been shown in preclinical models (not clinical trials) to inhibit ovarian tumor growth more effectively than non-targeted mIL-12, suggesting a potential application as an immunocytokine for ovarian cancer and possibly other CA166-9 expressing tumors[1][3].
