7,3'-di-O-methyltaxifolin is a methylated flavonoid derivative of taxifolin (dihydroquercetin) isolated from the plant *Pulicaria jaubertii*. It has been investigated for its potential anticancer properties, specifically against colorectal cancer cell lines such as HCT-116. The compound exerts its effects by inducing apoptosis, characterized by chromatin condensation and nuclear shrinkage, and by upregulating the expression of pro-apoptotic markers including caspase-3 and caspase-9.
