7-Epiclusianone is a naturally occurring prenylated benzophenone isolated from the fruits of *Garcinia brasiliensis* (also known as *Rheedia brasiliensis* or *Rheedia gardneriana*, commonly called bacupari in Brazilian folk medicine). It exhibits a broad spectrum of biological activities, including antineoplastic, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, and anti-inflammatory properties. In oncology, 7-epiclusianone has been shown to induce cell cycle arrest at the G1/S transition, promote cell senescence, and trigger apoptosis in various cancer cell lines, including breast and lung cancers. Mechanistically, it directly stabilizes and increases the polymerization rate of tubulin, and inhibits tyrosine kinases such as ALK (C1156Y mutant) and JAK3. Additionally, it has demonstrated antimicrobial activity against *Streptococcus mutans* by inhibiting glucosyltransferases (GtfB and GtfC) and F-ATPase, and antiparasitic activity against *Schistosoma mansoni* by inhibiting cytosolic superoxide dismutase (SmCtSOD).
