Drug intelligence / Profile preview
7e is a novel flavanone derivative with potential antipsychotic effects. It has been shown to decrease the activity of dopamine D2 receptors in HEK293 cells and inhibit the over-production of nitric oxide stimulated by lipopolysaccharide/interferon-γ in BV-2 microglial cells. In mice, intragastric administration of 7e reversed the increase in locomotor activity induced by MK-801 and decreased the hyperactivity of climbing behavior induced by apomorphine, suggesting its potential utility in the treatment of schizophrenia.
