Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A synthetic small molecule belonging to the class of purine derivatives known as 6-amino purines. It is an experimental compound that acts as an inhibitor of the molecular chaperone Heat Shock Protein 90 (HSP90). HSP90 is involved in protein folding and stabilization of many client proteins critical for cell survival and proliferation. Inhibition of HSP90 can disrupt multiple signaling pathways important in cancer and other diseases. This compound has been studied primarily in structural biology contexts to understand its binding to HSP90 but has not advanced into clinical development or received regulatory approval[10][7][6].
