8-gingerol

**8-gingerol** is a naturally occurring phenolic compound found predominantly in the rhizome of ginger (*Zingiber officinale*). It is part of the gingerol class, which also includes 6-gingerol and 10-gingerol, characterized by a 4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl group. 8-gingerol is bioactive, exhibiting several pharmacological properties.
