820TCR is an autologous T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by T-Cure Bioscience. It targets the Kita-Kyushu lung cancer antigen 1 (KK-LC-1), a cancer germline antigen expressed in various solid tumors but with limited expression in normal tissues. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a specific T-cell receptor that recognizes KK-LC-1-derived peptides presented on the surface of tumor cells, leading to targeted cytotoxicity. T-Cure acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to this technology from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2020. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with KK-LC-1-expressing malignancies, including gastric cancer, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and cervical cancer.
