Overview

821TCR is an investigational T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy being developed by T-Cure Bioscience for the treatment of multiple solid tumors that express the Kita-Kyushu lung cancer antigen 1 (KK-LC-1). KK-LC-1 is a cancer-testis antigen that is frequently expressed in various malignancies, including gastric, breast, lung, and cervical cancers, while remaining absent in most healthy tissues, making it a promising target for immunotherapy. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a specific TCR that recognizes KK-LC-1-derived peptides presented by human leukocyte antigens (HLA) on the surface of tumor cells. Upon recognition, these engineered T cells mediate targeted cytotoxicity against the cancer cells. 821TCR is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
