Drug intelligence / Profile preview
852A is a synthetic imidazoquinoline Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist with immunostimulating and potential antitumor activities. It works by binding to and activating TLR7, thereby stimulating plasmacytoid dendritic cells through the TLR7-MyD88-dependent signaling pathway. This activation results in secretion of interferon alpha, production of proinflammatory cytokines, upregulation of co-stimulatory molecules, and enhanced T and B-cell stimulatory responses. Originally developed by 3M Drug Delivery Systems (now Kindeva Drug Delivery), it has been investigated for various cancers including melanoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer.
