Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**86Y-CHX-A″-DTPA-cetuximab** is an investigational EGFR-targeted PET radioimmunoconjugate. It consists of the chimeric anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody cetuximab covalently linked to the bifunctional chelator CHX-A″-DTPA and labeled with positron-emitting yttrium-86. The agent binds epidermal growth factor receptor-expressing tumors and was evaluated preclinically for quantitative PET imaging of colorectal, ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancer xenografts. Its yttrium-86 distribution is also intended to provide a PET imaging surrogate for potential yttrium-90 radioimmunotherapy using an analogous construct.
