89Zr-4A06 is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent consisting of the monoclonal antibody 4A06, which targets the ectodomain of CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1), labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope zirconium-89 (89Zr). CDCP1 is a cell surface protein overexpressed in various cancers, including the basal/squamous subtype of bladder cancer, and its expression is often induced by RAS signaling. 89Zr-4A06 is utilized as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer to detect tumors and evaluate CDCP1 expression levels in vivo. This agent potentially serves as a companion diagnostic to identify patients suitable for CDCP1-targeted radiotherapies, such as 177Lu-4A06. It was developed by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
