Drug intelligence / Profile preview
89Zr-anti-CD79b is a zirconium-89 (89Zr)-labeled monoclonal antibody targeting CD79b, developed as an immuno-positron emission tomography (immunoPET) imaging agent. It consists of a human anti-human CD79b IgG1κ monoclonal antibody (sharing the same variable sequence as polatuzumab) conjugated to the chelator deferoxamine (DFO) and radiolabeled with the positron emitter zirconium-89. CD79b is a transmembrane protein that forms part of the B-cell receptor complex and is highly expressed and rapidly internalized in various B-cell lymphomas. 89Zr-anti-CD79b is designed for non-invasive PET imaging to diagnose, stratify, and assess treatment response in CD79b-expressing lymphomas, particularly in cases where CD20 epitopes are blocked or co-expression is variable.
