Overview

**89Zr-CD147** is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody targeting CD147 (also known as EMMPRIN or Basigin), a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed in various cancers, including pancreatic, glioma, ovarian, renal cell carcinoma, bladder carcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The drug consists of a fully human anti-CD147 monoclonal antibody labeled with the radioisotope zirconium-89 (^89Zr) for use as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agent. Its primary mechanism is to bind specifically to CD147-expressing tumor cells, enabling noninvasive visualization and quantification of CD147 expression in vivo. This can help select patients who may benefit from CD147-targeted therapies and assess metastatic potential or treatment resistance in solid tumors. The developer is Sinotau Pharmaceutical Group[1][2][3][4].
