89Zr-crefmirlimab zodalpol is an investigative PET imaging radiopharmaceutical designed to visualize and quantify CD8+ T cells in vivo. It consists of a humanized anti-CD8 minibody (a fragment containing scFv-CH3 dimers) called crefmirlimab zodalpol, which is conjugated to the chelator desferrioxamine (Df) and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope Zirconium-89 (89Zr). By specifically binding to the CD8 protein on cytotoxic T cells, this agent allows for non-invasive, whole-body mapping of T-cell distribution and tumor infiltration. This technology is intended to serve as a predictive biomarker for patient response to immunotherapies, such as checkpoint inhibitors, by identifying whether an active immune environment exists within the tumor microenvironment. Developed by ImaginAb, it is currently undergoing evaluation in various clinical trials for solid tumors.
