89Zr-DF-IAB2M is a radiolabeled anti–prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) minibody used as a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for PET imaging. The drug consists of the humanized J591 antibody-derived minibody (IAB2M), which is conjugated to desferrioxamine (DFO) and labeled with zirconium-89 (^89Zr). This minibody targets the extracellular domain of PSMA, a protein highly expressed in prostate cancer cells. The engineered minibody lacks Fc-Rn interactions and has reduced molecular weight compared to full-length antibodies, resulting in faster blood clearance and improved imaging schedules while retaining bivalent targeting of PSMA. It is primarily developed for noninvasive detection and localization of metastatic or localized prostate cancer lesions using PET/CT scans[1][3][4][5][7].
